How a mosaic lamp is actually made
Every globe starts as a plain glass form. An artisan cuts colored glass into small pieces, lays out a pattern by eye, and fixes each piece down one at a time. Then the gaps get filled with glass beads — hundreds of them per globe — and the whole surface is grouted and cleaned. A single large globe takes hours of continuous handwork.
Because the pattern is set by hand rather than printed, no two lamps come out identical. Slight differences in color, spacing and texture are not defects: they're the evidence that a person made it. The pieces we ship are, by design, one of a kind.

Mosaic lamp making has a long cultural history in Istanbul, and that's where all our lighting is assembled. But an authentic lamp is no use if it can't be plugged in safely, so every unit ships with:
- an E12 LED corn bulb, included in the box
- an in-line on/off switch on the cord
- a 47.2 in UL-certified cord with a standard U.S. plug
- its own individual carton, so it arrives clean and retail-ready
Beyond lighting
The same logic applies to the rest of the collection. Our peshtemal towels are hand-loomed from Turkish cotton with hand-tied fringes — ultra-soft, quick-drying and compact enough to live in a beach bag. The bags, wallets, notebooks and bookmarks are cut from woven kilim-pattern fabric. The ceramics are thrown and painted freehand in Anatolian workshops, which is why the florals never repeat exactly.

Retail orders ship from our U.S. warehouse, usually within one business day. We also supply wholesale and trade buyers: most items carry a minimum order quantity, listed on each product page, and pricing is quoted per line.
